Mr Ashok Sundaram a Solicitor of the senior courts of England and wales, admitted to the roll in 2010. He specialises in public and human rights law with an emphasis on UK Immigration and Nationality law. To enhance his professional expertise, he earned a master’s degree in Law from a reputed University from Scotland with specialisation in International Commercial Law, Dispute resolution and international human rights Law. He has been providing affordable legal advice and representation mainly in the area of UK immigration and nationality laws to both EU and non-EU individuals, family, and companies in the UK. He advises clients across a range of immigration matters, including entry clearance applications, in country leave to remain applications, administrative reviews, appeals/judicial reviews against Home Office refusal decisions, permanent residency and naturalisation applications. Ashok is also a qualified Advocate in India and a member of the Indian Bar Council since 2002. His expertise covers all aspects of corporate immigration law including applications under various tiers (Tier 1, 4 & 5) and the recently implemented skilled worker/intra-company routes of the Points-Based System (PBS), entry clearance applications. He has advised extensively on all aspects of immigration for UK employers who are licensed sponsors under skilled worker (SW), tier 4 and 5 of the PBS and also on objections/appeal against the Notice of civil penalties. His corporate immigration expertise includes assisting employers to manage their Sponsor Management System (SMS), in view of prevention of illegal working and risk management strategies he regularly conducts compliance audit visits and provides strategic advice on their sponsorship licence in line with the Home Office guidance on sponsor compliance and duties, action plans, license re-rating, right-to-work checks and also assists on the recruitment of individuals or transfer of employees both from within UK and abroad. He further assists with sponsorship following acquisition of companies and the transfer of their employees under TUPE regulations.

Vikas Sharma is a Quadruple Qualified Lawyer (Scotland, England & Wales, the Republic of Ireland and India) and OISC Level 3 Adviser. Holding practising certificates in Scotland, England & Wales, and India. In the Republic of Ireland, he is on the Roll of solicitors and entitled to apply for a practising certificate there. Completed LL.M in International Commercial Law from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK, LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India and B.Sc. from Maharaja Science College, Jaipur, India. Vikas Sharma, has worked across a wide variety of cases for both individuals and commercial clients. Vikas is an experienced Immigration Solicitor and was previously head of the immigration department at another well-known legal firm in Scotland and currently a partner at the Chamber Practice in Aberdeen, Scotland. He joined Lawsmith Solicitors as a Consultant Solicitor in November 2021 focussing on immigration and nationality laws. Jose Caseñas joined Lawsmith on their work experience programme in February 2023. As a paralegal, Jose deals with a variety of immigration matters and provides assistance by way of research, and handling of applications. Jose has also assisted in drafting documents (paginated bundles, court orders, witness statements) for litigation matters, liaising with the Courts and the other party, and have assisted providing legal advice under the guidance of the solicitors in the office by way of explaining the terms and effects / provisions in the contract in layman’s terms. He has experience in handling all types of immigration applications, Appeals, Judicial Reviews and Administrtative Reviews which includes skilled worker (EC/LTR), Human Rights applications, British Naturalisation / Registration, and Employer Sponsor licence applications. He completes the routine paralegal duties from Tuesday to Friday and on Mondays, he is studying the Legal Practice Course accompanied with integrated Legal Masters (LLM LPC) part-time at BPP University in Holborn. Jose graduated from Swansea University’s Hilary Rodham Clinton School of Law in 2022 with a 2:1 Law Degree LLB(Hons). While at Swansea, he was chosen to represent his university at the Michael Corkery QC Criminal Law Moot held at 5 Paper Buildings. He aspires to become a qualified solicitor and he is expecting to complete this course in the summer of 2024.

He is a solution-driven Lawyer with over 13 years of post-qualified experience in the UK as a Solicitor providing wide range of strategic legal advice to individual clients and companies based in the UK. He is a dual qualified Lawyer having qualified in India (Advocate) in the year 2001 and at the Senior Courts of England and Wales Jurisdiction. He has been continuously practising in both contentious and non-contentious matters. He has significant level of experience in acting for clients in a broad range of practice areas within litigation, including representing individuals and businesses in relation to Seizure and Freezing Orders since their inception and we have considerable experience in dealing with all law enforcement agencies Arun has challenged Secretary of State’s decisions in matters relating to post-conviction deportation, unlawful detention, removal decisions, delays, nationality matters, failure to apply policies, fresh claims, and challenging entry clearance refusals.
